Resolution Run 5K/10K

Today was the first time this event has been held at Ragley Hall, Warwickshire. Despite the thick autumn mist surrounding the venue, hiding it from view, whichever angle you approached from 250, possibly more, runners turned up and took part to support stroke today.

It was wonderful to see runners warming up, excitement everywhere, children ready to cheer on and balloons in hand ready to wave. Both stroke survivors and supporters participating. Children, dogs and families watching on. All in all a wonderful atmosphere and a fabulous event and when the mist lifted, in the glorious autumn sunshine.

The next similar event is the Great Birmingham run, Half Marathon which is on Sunday October 19th. If you are unable to join everyone that day how about organising something of your own for World Stroke Day on Wednesday 29th October or hold a ‘Sip for Stroke’ a fantastic chance to catch up with friends over a cuppa of your favourite tipple and raise funds to help change the lives of people affected by stroke .
